This is a busy time of year. If your life is anything like mine, things tend to get crazy in these months going into the holidays. I find myself getting caught up with stress and frustrated that the timeline for my custom-made womenswear work looks nothing like what I had planned for. In solving a bigger problem, namely custom-making womenswear, I have had to trade in predetermined, swift timelines, something the impatient woman in me goes nuts over. But that’s the bargain, right? If we want to solve a big problem, we have to patiently put one foot in front of the other and let go of our expectations to some extent about what will happen. Is that problem still worth solving? Absolutely.
But today I am making an effort to pause with all this fretting and be extremely grateful for where I am in spite of how much it differs from the swift path I imagined. And I am extremely grateful for your support to help me be here, whether it is gentle encouragement, your attention to these letters, or helping me fund the beta-testing for custom-made womenswear. If I step back and take the broad view, I am extremely lucky to be here no matter how difficult the day-to-day of this work may be.
So THANK YOU very much for your continued support for what I am doing. I now know that it is a long path, but I hope that we will learn a lot and accomplish something great walking it together.
